About
the Designer |
In
the year 2000, I completed my childhood dream of becoming an
Interior Designer. As a graduate of the University
of North Texas, one of the most renowned design schools
in the country, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts; I knew I had a
wonderful career path ahead. |
My
first experience in the professional industry was having the
opportunity to work for the respected furniture manufacturer
Baker, Knapp & Tubbs.
Once I had completed my internship with Baker I began studying
the fine art of faux painting under a master faux painter
- muralist.
The
month of August 2001 brought many changes. Leaving what I knew
as home, Dallas, TX, I came to Tucson, AZ. It is here that my
career path has really grown. When I first moved to Tucson I
had the pleasure of teaching Interior Design at The Art Center
Design College. I then went on to work for the most prestigious
Design Firm in Tucson, Belden & Co. |
Now
with all this experience behind me, I have started my own design
company, Peristyle Designs. With this company I have
the opportunity to combine all of my experience: retail furniture
sales, commercial & residential design and faux painting.
