Short but sweet is what I would say to this project. I really enjoyed having the pleasure of meeting this client team of mother and daughter. They had a very beautiful and creative home and the daughter made this job very simple. She knew exactly what look and technique she wanted, so I pitched in a few ideas and the end result was fabulous. Before I began this painting project all the walls in the living area were white and the adjacent dining area had been painted with a subtle taupe.

We decided to accentuate the fireplace wall by bringing in the taupe and accents of metallic gold. The adjoining wall continued the taupe theme with stripes of the color along with white uniting the entire room together. Then the icing to the cake was the addition of the eggplant color painted into the

niches, adding depth and pulling in the main accent color found throughout the two rooms. When I met with the two of them several weeks later it was so gratifying to hear them say, "We never could have put this all together without your help!"

"Wow" is the one word I can use to describe this project. This couple originally came to me wanting to have custom drapery for their formal living room windows. After working with the couple, designing their drapery they began to ask me about colors and faux painting techniques. They had lived for about 15 years in their present home and had white walls the entire time, they were ready for a change. They knew they wanted something more than color; they also wanted texture.

I gave my ideas, created my sample and the project was on. The only thing was that they had walls going up about 22 feet. This was an enormous project! After 6 weeks of painting every day and becoming pretty much a part of the family the task was complete.

Their home and lives were transformed by just a bit of color and painting technique. Every time walking into their home I am amazed that I accomplished that and am so happy to hear her say that everyone who sees it is impressed but mostly how much she and her family enjoys it.
